What is Hydrogel?

Due to these properties, hydrogels have structure resembling living tissues. Furthermore, hydrogels, which allow a high rate of oxygen and mass transfer, have high biocompatibility, low immunogenicity and cytotoxicity, ease of processing and adjustable physicochemical properties and hydrogels are recognised as an important material for biomedical applications.
