Magnetic Nano-Carrier Drug Delivery

Despite significant advances in therapeutics, conventional drug delivery systems remain limited by poor bioavailability, non-specific biodistribution, rapid systemic clearance, and dose-limiting toxicity. These challenges are particularly critical in oncology, inflammatory diseases, and targeted therapies, where precise spatial and temporal control over drug release is essential.

NanoBiotech addresses these limitations through the development of magnetic, biocompatible nano-carrier systems based on surface-engineered iron oxide nanoparticles. Our platform is designed to enable targeted delivery, controlled release kinetics, and enhanced accumulation at the site of action, while minimizing off-target exposure.

The core of the system consists of iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs), functionalized coatings that provide stability in physiological conditions and enable stimuli-responsive behavior in diseased microenvironments. This architecture supports both passive targeting mechanisms (e.g., enhanced permeability and retention effect) and active targeting via external magnetic guidance or ligand functionalization.
